Maria Prymachenko

Born in 1908 in Bolotnja in the Kyiv governorate, Maria Prymachenko is one of the best-known and most popular folk artists in Ukraine. Her radiantly colorful, naive motifs adorn postage stamps all over Ukraine, as well as a commemorative coin to celebrate the artist, who left behind 800 works, including embroideries, jugs, and ceramic plates.ZigZagZurich has partnered with the Prymachenko family foundation to develop 3 wool blankets from her stunning artwork collection.
