The new ZigZagZurich Artist Carpet & Rug collection celebrates original artwork woven into luxury rugs & carpets for the floor or the wall.
"Gunta" finds its inspiration in the age of Bauhaus and the work of the creative director at the weaving department of Bauhaus in Dessau, Gunta Stölzl. The carpet is an homage to her outstanding work that translated modern art into textiles. Light and bright colors and geometric forms are the typical components of her work reflected into this wonderful carpet.
Using a combination of wool and bamboo silk, the carpets are woven in Europe using the highest quality looms making them luxurious to the touch yet long-lasting / hard-wearing. We transform original art which supports the artists directly with every product sold.
Each sq meter contains 820,000 points. The carpet is finished with a non-slip finish underneath.The bamboo silk pile has the feel of real silk - soft and durable.
