Fiona Ryan

Fiona Ryan is a textile designer based in Zurich, Switzerland. She is currently exploring the ancient technique of “Ecru” (marbling) as a way to explore colour and movement and its effects on mood and energy. “Ecru” is a method of printing where colours are floated on a liquid surface and manipulated by the movement of air to form organic shapes and patterns reminiscent of rock and star formations. The shower curtain “Marble” was created using this “Ecru” technique while the artist was living in Colombia in 2017.
