Kevin Fries

Kevin Fries completed an apprenticeship as a decorative designer at Grieder Les Boutiques. After experiencing the world through a number of professions, he decided to attend the Zurich University of the Arts. It was there that he met his design partner Jakob Zumbühl and where his life would forever change. The two founded Fries & Zumbühlin in 2003 and have been working together ever since creating exquisite products & projects from furniture to artist rugs. His design process is guided by the consumer, idea, aesthetics, identity, originality, emotion, function, ergonomics, production, logistics, materials, innovation, ecology, and economics.
