Woven and handmade in Italy - our range of blackout curtains are designed for both homes and for commercial buildings. Blackout curtains work by absorbing the light from the outside rather than reflecting it ( ranging from 95% - 100% ) - this is due to the tight weave and special performance yarns used to weave blackout curtains.
In addition to light blocking properties, blackout curtains also have excellent acoustic and thermal properties as well again due to the thick weave of the fabric.
The ZigZagZurich blackout and dim out collection comes in the following styles and weaves:
Linen Effect Blackout - a woven linen effect structure on the front of the fabric with a matt satin back
Matt Satin Blackout - a sateen woven blackout both front and back with two different colours on front and back ( tone in tone colours )
Twill Weave blackout - a two yarn twill weave blackout - similar to a gaberdine fabric in a range of subtle colours
Corduroy weave blackout - a thick matt chenille yarn woven in a corduroy weave that is both modern yet luxurious.
Printed artist blackout curtain - using a special 100% blackout, we print original artists works 300cm high in a range of unique designs
All the curtains are handmade and hand finished in our Italian sewing atelier - designed to be hang on both tracks ( hooks included ) or poles ( rings not included ).
