A two colour check linen bedding collection available in both normal check and mini check. The check linen collection is a yarn-dyed, medium weight linen with two coloured yarns - woven in check weave. With the ever changing climate around the globe, more than ever we are seeing periods of extreme hot weather. Summer nights can be very hot in the bedroom and linen is a great fabric to sleep in during these hot nights. It also has many other great properties.
Why choose linen bedding for summer?
The fibres used to make linen bedding are much longer and are woven more loosely meaning air can pass around them more easily keeping your body cool. The same applies to linen clothing as well, this has been a firm favourite to wear in hot climates for hundreds of years.
Linen bedding in winter?
Linen bedding is an excellent choice for winter nights when houses are warm and cosy. Its breathability and temperature regulation properties ensure a perfect night's sleep during the colder months as well. There are different types of linen – a panama linen weave for example will be a much thicker linen to sleep in winter
Is linen bedding good for people that sweat at night ?
As linen is highly breathable and absorbent it’s a great product for people who sweat a lot at night. If you combine linen bedding with a breathable duvet such a a plant based duvet like kapok or lyocell, it can be a great solution
Is linen bedding good for stopping allergies in bed?
Linen fibres are excellent for all allergy sufferers – the fibres resistant to dust, dirt, mites, mould and moths. Linen is hypoallergenic, so if you have sensitive skin or suffer from any skin conditions or allergies, it will feel soothing on your skin.
Linen or cotton bedding ?
The choice ultimately depends on what you prefer to sleep in. Linen is generally a lighter and more durable material, while cotton is normally a much softer fabric. Linen does soften the more you wash it but it will never be as soft as an Egyptian cotton bedding set.
Can I mix linen and cotton bedding together ?
Sure – a lot of people like to have linen pillows for example with a cotton duvet or fitted sheets that are made of cotton and have the linen duvet and linen pillows.
What type of weave should I choose for my linen bedding?
There are lots of different weaves - from light weight thin linen bedding weaves to thick panama linen weaves - its a matter of taste, how heavy you like your linen bedding and the structure / design you want for your home. By choosing yarn dyed linen bedding, you can be assured that the quality of the yarns will be higher
How often should you wash your linen bedding?
Very simply it's recommend eery two weeks, if you perspire a lot or have animals in bed every week
Can I wash my linen bedding at high temperatures ?
Linen is a delicate fibre and should be treated with care. We therefore recommend washing at a maximum of 40-60 degrees. We also advise that you iron while slightly damp or use a steamer. It is advisable to avoid tumble drying on a high heat setting, as this can cause damage ( Be aware some old tumble dryers can be very hot – they can damage the fibres on linen bedding and linen clothes. )

What colour should I choose for my bedroom ?
Our linen bedding comes in a range of natural tones like sand, white, light grey to more vibrant colours like the striped linen or the the coral melange linen. There is no right colour to choose for your bedroom – you choose the linen bedding that you like the most !

Linen yarn is made from flax plants - the stalks of the plants go through a process which releases the fibres, which are then sent to a spinning mill to be made into linen yarn. These yarns are then dyed and woven to create the unique texture of linen bedding.
Linen bedding has many benefits - it is very breathable and absorbs moisture, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It is environmentally friendly , durable and improves with age, and yarn-dyed linen bedding retains its colour the longest. Linen bedding looks great in both modern and traditional homes (linen is also great for curtains).
Because linen is a natural yarn, linen bedding naturally has anti-microbial and anti-allergenic properties, making it good for people with allergies or sensitive skin. As with any fabric, it is important to ensure that it stays dry when stored to ensure no mould grows.
Linen bedding is made from natural linen yarns, so boiling linen bedding is never a good idea! For our linen bedding we recommend a cool wash at 40 degrees maximum, then hang to dry or tumble dry on a low heat. A trick is to let it dry naturally and then tumble dry for a few minutes if you want a softer finish.
There is no right or wrong way to iron linen bedding. Sometimes by ironing with steam if makes the linen softer and smoother - if you have a classic smooth linen then maybe this is a better option - if the linen bedding is stonewashed then its better to leave it natural.
Linen bedding is very durable. Linen has been used for thousands of years and the fibres are very strong - you can pull and stretch linen much more than cotton. If looked after properly, it will last for years.
It is fair to say that linen bedding and its materials are environmentally friendly - the flax plant uses little water to grow and no pesticides. It is also biodegradable and recyclable.
