Martin Campi for ZigZagZurich
My name is Martin Campi. I am a Graphic designer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Because of my American influences I develop my own designing style that identifies me. Like many other South Americans, we belong to a very youthful continent with many curiosities that make us constantly researching.
I work redefining ancient European art with a Latin touch, creating designs full of color, shapes and textures influenced by our American native past. I love to demostrate it on our traditional handmade knitted textiles which are very colorful and complex. My inspiration also comes from the Latin American rhythm, represented in the energy and dynamism of my work. My style can be summed up in a few words: a blend mixed by South American and European cultures which is what I am as a person.
His first collection for ZigZagZurich takes inspiration from Asia, delicate floral patterns mixed with subtle colors, to bold floral designs that encapsulate his hand drawn art.
ZigZagZurich collaborates with artists and designers, both established and new, on unique collections transformed into textiles under the direction of creative director Michele Rondelli and the founders of ZigZagZurich.
