Urs August Steiner

Urs August Steiner (lives and works in Zurich) studied scenography at the Zürcher University of the Arts and fine arts at the California College of the Arts (San Francisco) and at the ECAL École cantonale d'art de Lausanne. His often room-filling installations have been shown in Switzerland as well as internationally. Using various means and techniques, he translates history into new materiality and form. In doing so, he explores concepts of memory, time and legacy.
